Peters House Joins the Ranks of the "Excellent" with Latest PAMMS Triumph!
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Peters House has officially achieved an Excellent overall rating in its latest Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) inspection, completed on 10 June 2026!
Coming so quickly after Bonetti House secured the same top-tier result, this consecutive milestone highlights the exceptional standards being maintained across our services. A PAMMS audit is an intensely thorough, evidence-based quality assurance review conducted by local authorities, such as Norfolk County Council, to assess how effectively a home supports its residents. Securing back-to-back "Excellent" ratings within the complex learning disability and autism care sector is incredibly rare, making this a truly remarkable achievement for the staff and residents at Peters House.
Delivering the "Gold Standard" of Person-Centred Care
The auditor's report was filled with praise for the deeply individualised, person-centred atmosphere inside Peters House. Rather than generic templates, care plans are shaped completely by the unique life histories, exact preferences, and strengths of each individual.
Utilising our signature Spectrum Star Support Plan, the team charts and scores everything from health and sensory needs to social engagement. This dedication to detailed care did not go unnoticed by families, with one healthcare professional and parent stating:
"This place is a benchmark for other care providers; staff are just amazing, other homes could learn a lot from them... It combines social needs with housing needs."

Bespoke Transitions: The home was highly praised for its meticulous, multi-month transition plans that slowly build up a new resident's confidence before moving in. For one new resident, staff even created a virtual video tour complete with their favourite Mr Tumble background music to ease anxiety and welcome them.
Innovative Communication: For residents who are non-verbal, staff use Makaton signing, PECS, and iPads to ensure everyone has a voice. One family shared how staff integrated a communication app called "Jointly," allowing both the team and family members to share typed updates, videos, and photos seamlessly.
Responsive, Dignified Support: Staff were observed to be incredibly proactive. During a baking activity, a resident became visibly agitated by a song playing on the radio. The support worker immediately noticed the shift in mood, asked what they preferred, and switched the music to Hairspray the Musical, causing the resident to instantly smile and start dancing.
Independence, Lifelong Learning, and Health
The inspection highlighted a beautiful focus on unlocking potential and life skills alongside our dedicated Adult Education Team. Residents are actively working towards nationally accredited ASDAN and AQA qualifications in independent living, meal preparation, and internet safety. This practical focus has led to staggering results, with one parent sharing that after 18 years of trying at home and school, their son has successfully learned to use cutlery since moving into Peters House, calling the progress "mind-blowing".
Our Health and Wellbeing Lead was also commended for implementing structured weight management and nutrition protocols. By working together to substitute high-sugar snacks with high-protein alternatives, residents have successfully achieved healthier BMIs. Additionally, the team uses thorough desensitisation visits to local surgeries and hospitals to dramatically reduce anxiety around medical appointments, such as dentists or routine scans.
A Low-Stimulus, High-Joy Environment
Designed intentionally as a low-stimulus environment with direct input from managers and directors, the purpose-built home provides a perfect balance of safety and activity. The premises feature a bespoke sensory room complete with a wall-mounted scent panel to engage all five senses.
Outside, the large, secure rear garden is packed with spaces for residents to flourish, including a sunken trampoline, a basketball hoop, football goals, water features, and personalised planters where residents grow their own strawberries and tomatoes. To top it all off, the home fosters an active community calendar with weekly resident meetings, a gardening club, and seasonal family parties.
