Accessibility Statement
Cascade (Group Services) Ltd.
Our Commitment
At Cascade, we are committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all adults, children, young people, visitors, and staff.
Cascade aims to ensure that everyone can access our services and facilities in line with the Equality Act 2010 and other relevant UK accessibility legislation.
Physical Accessibility
Our homes have been designed and maintained to be accessible to people with a wide range of needs.
If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please let us know before your visit or upon admission so we can make suitable arrangements.
Communication and Information Accessibility
At Cascade, we strive to make all communication clear and inclusive:
Key documents, such as care plans and policies, can be provided in large print, Braille, or easy-read formats
Staff are trained to communicate effectively with people who have hearing, visual, or cognitive impairments
Cascade can arrange for interpreters, including British Sign Language (BSL), with advance notice
If relevant, access to professional support such as speech and language specialists can be arranged
Digital Accessibility
Cascade is committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our websites and apps so that as many people as possible can use them.
Although our site does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards, we are actively addressing known issues, including enhancing colour contrast, providing meaningful alternative text, and supporting keyboard and screen-reader navigation.
If you experience any accessibility barriers or need information in a different format, please contact us, and we will do our best to assist you.
Staff Training
All staff receive ongoing training in equality, diversity, and inclusion, including how to support adults, children, young people and visitors with accessibility needs. Staff at Cascade also receive communication and Autism training.
We regularly review our practices to ensure we meet the CQC’s standards for dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
