Thinking of Joining Us? Here’s What You May Need to Know

Yes! Cascade uses a values-based recruitment approach. While previous experience is preferred, it’s not essential for all roles. Certain positions may require specific qualifications or experience — please refer to the job advertisement on our Joining Cascade page for more information.

Due to the nature of our work, which often involves providing personal care, applicants must be 18 years or older to apply for a role with us.

For all roles within Cascade we require a full application form.

If you’re unable to move to the next page of the application form, it’s likely that a required field has not been completed. Please ensure all mandatory sections are filled in before attempting to continue.

Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our recruitment team. As each role has different application deadlines, we’ll contact you if you’re shortlisted for an interview.

The interview process includes two stages:
Panel Interview – A face-to-face interview where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your skills and experience.
Home Tour – A visit to one of our homes where you can meet residents and staff, and get a feel for the working environment.

Our recruitment process follows strict safeguarding guidelines, including reference checks and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We aim to complete this process within four weeks, though it may take longer if documentation is missing or there are delays with references.

Yes. Cascade offers free comprehensive training, both online and in person, delivered by accredited trainers. All training is certified, and refresher courses are regularly provided to ensure best practices are maintained.

Definitely. We offer opportunities to complete NVQs and diplomas while you work, allowing you to develop professionally. We strongly encourage internal progression and welcome applications from staff for new roles.

All staff are paid monthly, on the last working day of each month.
