Moore House Completes the Holkham Hall Colour Run for Mind!

Five residents and the support team from Moore House in Norwich recently took on a brilliantly vibrant challenge, completing the 3K charity Colour Run at the historic Holkham Hall estate.

The team hit the track to raise funds and vital awareness for Norfolk and Waveney Mind, an organisation dedicated to delivering mental health services across our local community.

Teamwork, Cheers, and a Lot of Paint!

The day kicked off with a great sense of anticipation as the group gathered to receive their official event T-shirts and pose for a few team photos before heading to the starting line. The Holkham Colour Run is all about inclusion, energy, and a massive amount of bright, powdered paint showered over participants as they move through the estate's stunning parkland. Although it turned out to be a bit windy, the atmosphere remained incredibly cheerful. The route featured plenty of vibrant clouds of coloured powder, along with numerous rest areas and water stations to keep everyone moving safely and staying hydrated. It was a wonderful sight to see everyone fully committed to the distance. While some residents set a faster pace at the front, others did a brilliant job continuing the course with supportive staff prompts and plenty of verbal encouragement. Throughout the route, members of the public provided fantastic praise, and the group finally reached the finish mark to a massive round of cheers. The Moore House staff worked beautifully together to ensure the entire day ran smoothly from start to finish.

Overwhelming Community Support

Thanks to the incredible generosity of families, friends, and the public, the Moore House team completely smashed their initial fundraising target:

● The Target: £500

● Total Raised: An impressive £535 (hitting 107% of the goal!)

● Community Support: 32 individual donors stepped up to back the team.

Promoting Active, Fulfilling Lives

At Cascade, community events like these are an important part of supporting residents to lead active, meaningful lives. Taking part in the run gave the residents a wonderful opportunity to build physical confidence, experience the rolling coastal landscape, and directly support a cause that touches so many lives. A huge congratulations to the five residents and the staff team from Moore House, led by Team Leader Sam Taylor-Bennett, for their fantastic effort and dedication.
