SEMH Teacher – Humanities, PSHE & Vocational Curriculum

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher to join our growing specialist provision. The successful candidate will be confident delivering a broad and highly personalised curriculum to pupils across KS3 and KS4 with SEMH and additional needs.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or expertise in Humanities, PSHE, Life Skills, ASDAN, STEM/Science or vocational learning, although we welcome applications from strong secondary and SEND practitioners from a range of subject backgrounds.
The successful candidate will play an important role in developing personalised curriculum pathways which enable pupils to achieve meaningful qualifications and prepare successfully for adulthood and their next steps.

Salary : £31,000.00 - £44,500.00 per year

Requirements
QTS is Essential (Please note: This role is not suitable for ECTs).
Experience: A proven track record working within SEMH or SEND environments is essential. Experience with ASDAN or vocational pathways is beneficial.
Mindset: Calm, consistent, creative, and compassionate, with high expectations for every pupil regardless of their starting point.

Shape the Curriculum: Help develop personalized learning and alternative qualification pathways (including ASDAN and vocational options) as our school grows.
Tailor & Deliver: Plan and teach engaging, adapted lessons matched to individual EHC plans and SEN support needs.
Track & Support: Monitor progress, celebrate individual breakthroughs, and keep pupil wellbeing at the core of your teaching.
Collaborate: Partner with care staff, multidisciplinary teams, and parents to support the pupil's journey toward adulthood and future career steps.
